The Water Temple, also known as Ulun Danu Temple, is the most distinctive temple in Bali, a temple building entirely built on the water.
It is also a must-see temple in Bali. It is a background pattern with a face value of 50,000 Indonesian Rupiah. The scenery here is extremely beautiful and often appears in landscape postcards or photographs. It will look very quiet under the cover of dense fog, especially suitable for photography.
The temple is located on the bank of Lake Bratan (DanauBeratan), half-Hindu, half-Buddhist style. As Bratan Lake is the main source of water for the nearby farmland, the temple, as its name suggests, worships Dewi Danau, the goddess of the lake. Due to the fertile soil after the eruption of the volcano and the high mountain climate, it is very suitable for growing fruits and vegetables. The quality is high and there are many, so the place is also known as a treasure house of fruits.
Hi, I am Andra. I am from Bali and your tour guide. Let me introduce you to the gorgeous temple and share with you the tradition of Hinduism.
